Engelli Bireylerde Cinsel Sağlık
Özet
Cinselliğin hayatımızda karmaşık bir rolü vardır ve kişinin yaşam kalitesini etkilemektedir. Cinsel sağlık kaynaklarına erişim eksikliğinden özellikle etkilenen bir grup engelli bireylerdir. Araştırmalar, engelli bireylerin cinsel yaşamlarında çeşitli kişisel ve sosyo-çevresel engellerle karşılaştıklarını göstermektedir. Bu engellerden bazıları arasında sınırlı cinsel bilgi, zayıf eğitim, olumsuz tutumlar, sağlık hizmetlerine erişim eksikliği, cinsel deneyim eksikliği ve özellikle engelli kadınlara yönelik cinsel şiddetin ve istismarın artmasına yol açabilecek sosyal izolasyon yer almaktadır. Ayrıca finansman sıkıntısı ve politika yönergelerinin eksikliği gibi idari engeller de engelli bireylerin cinsel sağlık hizmetlerine erişimini etkilemektedir. Her yönüyle cinsel sağlık içerisinde yer alan bu bölümde engelli bireylerin cinsel sağlık ve üreme sağlığı ile ilgili sorunları tartışılmıştır.
