Resveratrol

Natural product compounds have potent effects against inflammation-driven diseases, including cancer. Resveratrol is a natural phytochemical that possesses anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective, and anti-cancer properties which is usually found in daily human diet such as grape, peanut, berries and grains. Cancer formation is a complex process and tumor promoting inflamation is one of the hallmarks of cancer. Resveratrol’s role in reducing different human cancers some of which are: breast, blood, liver, brain, lung, skin, gastric, colon, have been reviewed. It has been reported that when resveratrol used with standart chemotherapeutics, it can sensitize cancer cells to them.
