Infertility is considered one of the symptoms of endometriosis. Although the pathogenesis of endometriosis-related infertility is not yet fully understood, several potential mechanisms have been proposed. These include distortion of pelvic anatomy, disruption of folliculogenesis, tubal motility dysfunction, and impaired implantation. In the management of infertile patients with endometriosis, medical treatment is generally not recommended. Instead, laparoscopic surgical treatment, followed by controlled ovarian stimulation, intrauterine insemination, and assisted reproductive technologies, are utilized.
