Tüm Vücut Hipertermi (Whole Body Hyperthermia)

Özet

Modern tıpta yeni gelişmelerle birlikte onkoloji alanında bir çok farklı tedavi seçeneği oluşmuştur. Bu çeşitliliğe rağmen hastaların bir çoğunda progresyon ve tedavi direnci görülmektedir. Dolayısıyla bu direnci kırabilmek ve tedavi etkinliğini artırmak amacıyla farklı yöntemler uygulanmaktadır. Özellikle ateşin vücuttaki olumlu etkilerinden yola çıkılarak hipertermi tedavileri geliştirilmiştir. Tüm vücut hipertermi dirençli metastatik hastalıklarda farklı kanser türlerinde etkinliği farklı çalışmalar ile araştırılmış hipertermi tedavilerinden biridir. Bu bölümde tüm vücut hipertermi uygulamasının konvansiyonel tedavi yöntemlerine eklenmesi ile oluşan olumlu, olumsuz sonuçlar, yan etkiler, bilimsel kanıtlar eşliğinde sunulması planlanmıştır.

With new developments in modern medicine, many different treatment options have been developed in the field of oncology. Despite this diversity, most patients have resistance to treatment. Therefore, different methods are applied in order to break this resistance and increase the treatment effectiveness. In particular, hyperthermia treatments have been developed based on the positive effects of fever on the body. The effectiveness of whole body hyperthermia-resistant metastatic diseases in different types of cancer is one of the hyperthermia treatments that have been investigated with different studies. In this section, it is planned to present the positive, negative results, side effects, accompanied by scientific evidence that the application of whole body hyperthermia to conventional treatment methods.
