Mavi Akrep Zehiri (Rhopalurus Junceus)
Complementary or alternative therapies are traditional treatments widely used in society for various diseases. However, many of these therapies lack scientific evidence. Rhopalurus Junceus, commonly known as blue scorpion venom, is one such agent that is frequently used in cancer patients. The venom is believed to affect ion channels and regulate apoptosis. While some cell and animal studies have demonstrated cytotoxic effects on cancer cells, there have been no clinical studies conducted on humans. Additionally, although information obtained from animal experiments suggests that the side effects are not severe, there has been a reported case of death in the literature. Based on current scientific data, there is insufficient evidence to recommend this treatment to cancer patients.
