Subperiostal Dental İmplantlar ile Protetik Tedaviler

Synopsis

Subperiosteal implants have been in the world of dentistry for approximately 80 years.During this period, the development of intra-osseous implants and the emergence of new implant systems caused subperiosteal implants not to be preferred. However, today, the development and useage of computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), 3D printers have contributed to the production process of subperiosteal implants and caused them to become popular again. These innovations have created a new treatment opportunity for patients whose systemic condition is not suitable for agumentation procedures that require regenerative procedures in atrophic jaws. This review will be a guiding resource for clinicians for subperiosteal implants and prosthetic superstructures that can be used.
