Melatonin
Synopsis
Antikanser etkilerinin ardındaki kesin mekanizmalar belirsizliğini koruyor ve melatoninin spesifik özellikleri onun in vivo çalışmalarını engelliyor. Bu bölümde melatonin çalışmalarındaki son gelişmeleri özetleyeceğiz. Son olarak melatoninin kanser tedavisinde kullanımının önündeki engelleri açıklamaya çalışacağız.
Cancer represents a large group of diseases that cause the death of approximately 10 million people each year. Various treatment strategies are used to treat cancer, including surgical resection, immunotherapy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Melatonin, an endogenous hormone, is associated with the regulation of circadian rhythm. In addition to melatonin's sleep-wake cycle control, there are many studies in recent years explaining its anticancer effects. Although this suggests that melatonin can be used in the clinic for cancer treatment, there are still major obstacles to its acceptance for wide clinical application. The exact mechanisms behind its anticancer effects remain unclear, and the specific properties of melatonin hinder its in vivo studies. In this section we will summarize the latest advances in melatonin studies. Finally, we will try to explain the obstacles to the use of melatonin in cancer treatment.
