Diş Hekimliğinde Beyazlatma Uygulamaları

Özet

Günümüzde estetik kaygıların da artması nedeniyle estetiş diş hekimliği popüler hale gelmiştir. Diş renklenmeleri de artmış hasta talebine bağlı olarak beyazlatma, çeşitli restoratif ve protetik yöntemlerle tedavi edilmektedir. Ancak tedavinin başarısı için öncelikle iyi bir muayene ile renklenme etiyolojisi belirlenmelidir. Beyazlatma, bu tedavi yöntemlerinden nispeten konservatif bir tedavidir. Renklenmeye maruz kalmış dişlerin beyazlatılması, yıllardır diş hekimleri tarafından farklı malzemeler ve teknikler kullanılarak geliştirilmiş ve zamanla güvenli, başarılı ve konservatif bir tedavi haline gelmiştir. Böylece hem vital hem devital dişlerin beyazlatılmasında çeşitli mekanizmalar ve tekniklerin uygulanmasıyla başarılı sonuçlar elde edilmektedir. Ancak tedavinin olası risk ve komplikasyonları da göz önünde bulundurulmalıdır. Bu komplikasyonların görülmemesi için gerekli tedbirler alınmalıdır. Beyazlatma ile renklenmenin çözülemediği durumda ise diğer restoratif ve protetik tedavi yöntemlerinin uygulanması düşünülmelidir.

Today, aesthetic dentistry has become popular due to the increase in aesthetic concerns. Tooth discoloration is also treated with whitening, various restorative and prosthetic methods due to increased patient demand. However, for the success of the treatment, the etiology of discoloration must first be determined with a good examination. Whitening is a relatively conservative treatment among these treatment methods. Whitening of discolored teeth has been developed by dentists over the years using different materials and techniques and has become a safe, successful and conservative treatment over time. Thus, successful results are obtained by applying various mechanisms and techniques to whiten both vital and devital teeth. However, the possible risks and complications of the treatment should also be considered. Necessary precautions should be taken to avoid these complications. If bleaching fails to resolve the discoloration, other restorative and prosthetic treatment methods should be considered.
